Lesley was born 1968. She earned a B.A. in English at K.U., then a Master's in Library Science. She More…is a Children's and Reference Librarian in Orlando, Florida.
Lesley has one son, Jackson, now 9, my only grandson.
Wendy was born in 1972 and earned a degree in Psychology. She has worked in her chosen field of Retail Clothing since then, most of the time as a buyer.
I was a secondary teacher in Topeka for 31 years, 17 of those at THS. My interests have continued to be in reading, music, art and theatre. Right now I belong to a reading group, a writing group, Prairie Packers (a hiking and tent camping group), keep a membership in a Jazz Series, and go to chamber music.
The most fun I had in THS classes was in Orchestra and String Ensemble. It was friends in the old wooden locker storage room, the conductors faces and jokes (and warmth), besides slipping down to Ackey's for a doughnut before we came back to school, and exploring the ballroom on the very top floor of the old Governor's Mansion when String Ensemble played in the quaint round-corner furst-floor, beautiful alcove there.
